I believe hype will grow the scene; and the sponsors (who will see the money making opportunities) will fall in line. The scene needs a little refinement but that shouldn't be forced IMO. I discovered this community via a desire to get better, but it's the hype (that makes me yell at my TV screen and watch games I don't even play) that made me stay.

Re: How can we improve the FGC…?

The FGC is stuck. There are only a select few that make up the "elite" or "pro" gamers. The rest are just slashing their way into a spotlight and do ANYTHING to get attention. The easiest way is to troll the streams and scream out anything that makes enough noise to look in that direction.

It's sad sometimes, but that's the way it is. I have stated that Ego's have caused a faulty FGC, and let me explain myself:

The obvious reason why there is any Ego going around is because 1, there are those that do (work hard into the elite by attending tourneys and making a name of themselves), and there are those that don't. 2, Those that do, have to maintain a tight "circle" around their "elite" community which makes those that don't, rage. Sure, these "elite" / "pros" have an ego at times... but they deserve to, since they've walked the walk. But... they shouldn't display as such.

Now if you ask me, I'd say that some of these guys that stay at home and troll the streams need to show up at tournaments, and show everyone what they've got. Stop telling everyone that you are better than so and so... PROVE IT!

Either way, there will always be people out there that have that type of attitude, and its just an ego. From racists, to feminists, to anti-gay, those guys will always act one way behind a keyboard... it's just the way it is now.

Re: Marvel Vs Capcom 3

How to join?

Re: Juicebox Abel Winter Brawl 6 Recap

I could be way off base, but my impression is that Chun Li is the exact opposite of a good Rufus counter-pick.

Re: Juicebox Abel Winter Brawl 6 Recap

Chun Li or Zangief in your future?

Re: Juicebox Abel Winter Brawl 6 Recap

I'm BLIND from UFGT7 btw, MN REP!

Re: Juicebox Abel Winter Brawl 6 Recap

HELL YEAH!

Re: Juicebox Abel Winter Brawl 6 Recap

I thought the performance was great.
